Introduction:
iTerm is a full featured terminal emulation program written for OS X using
Cocoa. We are aiming at providing users with best command line experience
under OS X. The letter i represents a native Apple look
and feel of the program interface, and an emphasis on complete international
support. iTerm was merged from two projects, CTerminal and TerminalX, both
of which were based on JTerminal project. The current version is still in
beta stage. It is however very much functional and usable.

What's new
0.8.0 released 3/4/2004
This is a major update of iTerm. New features include:
- Now supports profiles for display, terminal settings, and key mappings.
- New drawing code with speed enhancement up to several folds.
- New improved bookmarks organization.
- Rendezvous support.
- Tab-bonding with key input sent to multiple tabs.
- Supports customizable character spacing.
- Other bug fixes and GUI enhancements as usual.
Notice:
Due a change of bookmark organizations introduced in 0.8.0, old bookmark settings are
no longer completely recognized. Only names, commands, directories, and shortcuts are migrated.
Display and terminal settings are not migrated. You have to re-enter these manually into the new version.
Version 0.8.0 comes with few keymapping/display/terminal profiles.
If you do not see them, please delete your iTerm.plist file in ~/Library/Preferences and
restart the program.
